## Redact's Camp
- Before going to sleep, Boris and Redact share a moment by the fire. Boris asks Redact about their homeland, who answers indirectly, sharing that they have been through a lot and have seen darkness before. Boris, in return, shares that he has been lonely. He finds hope in that he has perhaps found kind people that he can call friends. - Redact went into the forest to gather local herbs, and The Party accompanied them in pursuit of eggs for breakfast. While exploring, they came across large animal tracks, reminiscent of a bear's. Upon following the trail, they eventually came upon two owlbears, a cub and its mother. They slew the owlbears. - After slaying the owlbears, The Party butchered the mother for its meat and went to gather two eggs that remained in a nearby nest. Mudge and Boris quarreled over whether to keep or eat the eggs. When fists were thrown, Mudge accidentally hit an egg, cracking it open and spilling its contents into the nest and surrounding ground. Boris took the remaining egg and the group went back to camp. - Back at camp, The Party spent the day resting and preparing food. Redact and Joshua took lead on smoking some owlbear jerky. Giving the newly acquired meat a taste, Joshua came to a sudden realization. The meat was delicious, far more than other meat he had eaten of similar quality. Beyond that, there was a trace of magical energy embedded in the cut. Nearly imperceptible, but undeniable. Perhaps that magic infusement was the culprit for this enhanced flavor.
