| 06 | The Party found the entrace to Mal Pavo, a small overlap in the eastern wall that revealed a hidden gap. The group passed through the wall and Redact revealed that they knew Dain Halloway, a nearby farmer who they sold herbs collected from outside the city. He was a bit neurotic and fast-talking, but was friendly and allowed them to stay in a barn close to their main quarters. He disclosed that he was leaving in the morning to take his family to festival hosted in Mal Pavo's District Center the following day. It is rumored that the festival is in celebration of Arcus Havienne, a member of The Luminaries who is personally paying a visit to their humble district. |
| 06 | While traversing the woods outside Mal Pavo, Redact heard a group of men talking near the river. Two of them were on the same side of the party, obscured by brush and undergrowth. Three others were on the far side loading a barrel onto a raft and preparing to cross toward their comrades, yelling something unintelligible across. The men were wearing cloaks resembling those worn by The Wardens, although theirs were uncharacteristically tattered. As the party settled in to observe, one of the men heard their movement. The two closest men split up to investigate and found the party. A fight ensued, with the party emerging victorious. Upon questioning the last survivor, Nyx asked the man who they were working for. He responded dismissively, starting that anything they do to him won't make a difference. As he did, he reached for his spear and went for a desperate lunge at Nyx. Boris's gun misfired but Redact and Nyx dispatched him quickly. #battle |
| 06 | The next day, The Party departed the camp, heading for Mal Pavo. They crossed the river in the evening and ditched the horses, opting to sneak in through the eastern face of the district's outer wall. |
| 04 | The Party made their way back toward Mal Pavo, settling on going to a secluded area at Redact's recommendation, Redact's Camp. They arrived and tied up their horses, save for Mudge who forded the river on his horse. The others swung on a rope previously placed by Redact across the river to access the camp. Redact scurried ahead to prepare for their guests. They came out with goodies - smoked salmon, greens, and lingenberries. The camp had a wigwam, and a small altar with a diarama containing a leaf. |
| 01 | The Wardens eventually boarded the fresh recruits onto 3 caravans. Unfamiliar faces on the first, the party-to-be on the second, and Giles Drythey and his crew on the third. The recruits were notified there was one more straggler to pick up - Redactali Sukehiro was being held in a jail cell nearby. As the caravan pulled up and Renick Darnel approached, the guards warned him that she was accused of practicing forbidden rituals. After a long moment of searching into her eyes, he nodded and accepted her on board. The Party left the district of Mal Pavo and entered the fringe of The Mists. |
