Solport

Solport is the largest of the remaining city states of Elthyria. It is a beacon of light and hope, known for the towering spires at its center and the massive sunshard hanging overhead. Ruled by the Luminaries, an oligarchy of archmages, the city is a hub of trade, research, and magic.

Solport is a megacity consisting of 5 large rings that are effectively their own regions, which are them comprised of distinct settlements.

Layout

The megacity lays atop a large hill protruding from a dense forest. It is organized into rings, with each ring toward its center raised higher atop the hill and closer to a large sunshard hovering over its peak. The sunshard sheds its brightest light over the innermost circles, but as one wanders further out toward the Skirts, they will find the dim light of the mist storms intermingling with that provided from the sunshard. Not quite subject to the mist storms and not quite beneath the sunshard’s full protection, the Skirts are at times a lawless and dangerous place.

01	We began on an overcast, late winter day. A chill hung in the air and the bleak light of the Solsun cast a fluorescent haze over the city of Solport. Most of our party was introduced on their way to report to The Wardens. Zyla Nyx, was conscripted from jail, took the offer that gave her a taste of freedom. Joshua Dean and Boris Brimsley, wound down after lunch rush at the restaurant, chatted and made their final preparations. Mudge left Inked Arcana and The Alleycat in the care of his apprentice, Liora Flint, and made his way to the town square.
