Sunshard
A Sunshard is a large construct in the shape of a faceted sphere. It hovers in the air shedding arcane sunlight capable of repelling the twilight of the mists.
These devices were first erected by The Luminaries, a ruling class of arcane magisters, but the general population knows little else of their origin. The same arcane power they hum with is used to fuel Soltech, arcane tools and trinkets with a variety of uses. Some of this Soltech is hoarded by the noble class, but it’s not uncommon for tech to fall into the hands of peddlers and petty thieves.
